Shepherd’s Dream Woolbed Materials
Shepherd’s Dream is committed to using the highest quality raw materials available. Most of our Wool Bed materials are grown and produced in the United States and are either certified organic or free of harmful, toxic chemicals.
We believe that it is important to support our local farmers and businesses in order to strengthen small, green industry practices as well as to decrease our dependence on fossil fuels. We are happy to offer these materials directly to our customers, so that you can create your own bedding, crafts and toys. Everyone deserves the opportunity to utilize materials that are healthy for the planet and for us.

Eco Wool Batting
All of our products are filled entirely with our premium Eco Wool batting. Eco Wool is entirely derived from
local flocks of sheep that are raised following a specific criteria that ensures top quality, chemical free wool. Our Oregon grown, Eco Wool batting is produced at the Woolgatherer Carding Mill, located down the road from Shepherd’s Dream.
Is Eco Wool Organic?
This is a question many people ask. Eco Wool is not certified organic. At this time very little organic wool is available on the market; almost no organic wool is grown in the United States. We find that Eco Wool is actually cleaner and of higher quality than the organic wool currently available. Eco Wool is produced to the highest standards; some of these standards are beyond those specified for organic materials. We will continue to observe the progress of certified organic wool batting, but in the meantime we prefer Eco Wool.
We offer this wool to our customers for and is available to purchase by the yard or in scrap form.

We purchase our Organic Cotton fabrics from a company in the USA who has this fabric shipped back to the USA for the finishing steps of production to ensure the highest quality finished goods. This fabric has a 111 thread count, 90” width and is ideal for crafting that requires a more durable and breath able fabric. Available to purchase by the yard.
Scraps for Craft
We have ample amount of fabric and batting scraps that are left over upon completing each item that we produce.
We hope to find time in the near future to come up with some useful products that would utilize these beautiful scraps, but currently our product line takes up all of our time. There are many items that could be made out of these materials, such as quilts, woven rugs, dolls, purses and clothing.
For more information on our scrap materials, please call our office and we will work out a great deal for you!
